Wednesday Ramblings and What I'm Listening To

Is anyone still friends with people that they went to high school with? I had a huge group of friends growing up (I know, I know - shocking), and I only talk to one of them now. I'm okay with it, for the most part.

Graduation. Skipped grad parties to go see The Notebook. No big deal.

I had a best friend throughout elementary/middle/high school and we stopped talking because of a guy. It was dumb and I was trying to help her. She believed him, not me, and we haven't been friends since. She found out the truth a few months later, and apologized, but it didn't change anything.

I saw her a few years later out at a townie bar. I believe she was fairly intoxicated because she was all, "I haven't seen you in FOREVER!" and all it did was make me uncomfortable, so I left.

Yep. I willingly left a bar without even the slightest buzz. You know how unlike me that is.

That's one of the girls in the picture above.

Another one saw me in the market a couple years ago and was all, "Alissa??" like she saw a ghost. That's pretty much what I am to anyone I went to high school with. The blur of my car speeding through town is the only glimpse they ever see of me.

Another girl in the picture was my friend even before I was born. Our mothers were extremely close. She sent me a message on Facebook a while back, saying she couldn't remember why we stopped speaking, but wanted to know how I was doing.

I remember exactly why we stopped being friends, but I didn't say that. No point.

ANYWAY...I didn't mean for this to be a depressing post.

Speaking of balls, statistics say if you talk about testicles in a post, you'll lose 4 followers.

Here's what I'm listening to - Happy Wednesday, kids!
