It's the first day of summer...

...so let's talk about fall, okay?

It is, HANDS DOWN, my favorite time of year. It means: my birthday, Halloween, apple picking, pumpkin carving, corn mazes, apple cider, etc. all rolled into one season.

Let's not forget it's my nephew's birthday, too.
OH - and Shay's. We're a day apart, but she's older muahaha.

New York and New England (FYI - NY is not part of New England - little geography lesson for the day) are both absolutely beautiful in autumn. I love going for drives through Vermont and seeing all of the foliage.
How corny, I KNOW. But it's amazeballs. It really is.

Taken after "peak foliage" but still amazing. It's part of my backyard, by the way. So, um, be jealous.
I decided this year that I'm not going to have a birthday party. WHAT. I know. Shocking. Instead, I want to go here with a group of friends. Or maybe just by myself. I wouldn't even care if I had to go alone.

For those of you too lazy to click the link, I'm talking about Beardslee Castle. It's about an hour away from my house and it's HAUNTED. And you can have dinner there. And sometimes people get felt up by ghosts.

Kidding. I have no idea if that happens. It very well could.

Creepy, right?

Don't worry, I will be having a Halloween party. It's my favorite holiday AND it will be the first Halloween in my new house. I cannot wait to set up my village. You know how some people have Christmas villages?

Well, I have a Halloween one.

This is half of it. Maybe even less. The one on the bottom right is a WHORE HOUSE.
And here's a little vocab lesson for the day - HRB: Halloween Related Boner.

I get them ALL the time. In fact, I have one right now.
