Katy from All It Takes is Faith & Trust

I can't even handle this post. I can't.  Katy is a teacher aka she has the summers off (why did I change my major from Eduction to Communications? WHY!) and she does the most amazing things during these hot summer months. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to show up at the free cupcake event. Wait until you hear about it. Let's all meet there, okay? Okay.

So while Alissa is off in North Carolina enjoying herself, I'm attempting to fill in for her on the blog today.  I'm not as funny as she is, but I hope you will enjoy!
I'm Katy and I blog at All It Takes is Faith & Trust.  I'm in my mid/late 20s (yikes! when exactly did that happen?!) and I'm married to my high school sweetheart.  We live in New Hampshire with our dog, Bodie, and our two cats, Minnie and Darla.  I work as an Elementary Special Education teacher and am currently enjoying my summer.  I'd love it if you would hop on over and say hello!

Summer means barbecues with my family.  I love my family.  It is always a blast when we all get together.  Good food and good times, for sure.

Summer means playing croquet.  Croquet is one of the best outdoor games of all time.  I am super competitive and will take you down no matter what your age is. (case in point: I once beat a 90 year old man at a church picnic at my in-laws house.  No mercy here.)

Summer also means playing ladder golf.  I suck at this game.  But my trash talking is good, so that's worth something right?

Summer also means eating ice cream at Kimball's every chance I get.  They have the best ice cream around.  It is a sad day in the fall when they shut their doors until next season.

Summer means being lazy and laying out on the back deck with the dog and a good book as often as I can manage.  Hooray for not teaching regular hours in the summer!

Summer means going on whale watches in Cape Cod.  Seriously, some of the coolest experiences of my life.  I even went on a whale watch all by myself last summer.  Yup.  I'm cool like that.

Summer means kayaking and canoeing with family and friends.  But I will never again canoe with the hubs, because he once tipped us.  Not cool.

Summer means hiking with my dad.  Where we live, there are so many amazing places to hike.  Beautiful views and just a good time.

Summer means enjoying the Night of a 1,000 Cupcakes.  I mean, who doesn't want to go to an event that has over a 1,000 cupcakes for free?

Summer means celebrating my anniversary with the handsome hubs.  Love that guy.

Summertime is without a doubt my favorite season.  I love the warm weather, sunshine, blue skies, and having tan skin.  While I totally love living in New England and enjoy all four of the seasons, summer is what I look forward to all winter.  I think I will always be a Florida girl at heart.

So tell me, what is your favorite season and why?

Thank you Alissa for allowing me to guest post today!
