The painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me.

My inspiration.
Last Friday night, I went to Saratoga Paint and Sip with Lindy D, my cousin Hilary, and my Aunt Krista. Basically you are given (aka you pay for) a canvas, paint, and paint brushes, and then a local artist takes you through the steps to create a painting. Everyone is painting the same thing, but you are encourage to "make it your own."

Well, the painting wasn't too difficult. Besides the fact that the girl who was teaching the class was flying through some of the directions. The biggest problem for me? Trying to avoid the girl with the camera...

All pictures are taken from their Facebook page, for the record.
I narrowly escaped this picture. A quick hair flick and I was safe. Oh, and for the record, I had a hair appointment last week and didn't dye my hair red. In fact, I went even lighter and cut another inch off.

Moving on...

I had a little more time to prepare for this picture, so I keep my head turned for a good 3 minutes. These girls were celebrating someone's birthday and brought a cake. However, they didn't bring enough for the entire class, so I don't feel like it was fair that they got to have it. Didn't they learn that in school?

When everyone was "finished" aka when we were all told we were done, they wanted a group picture. How would I get out this?

By putting my painting directly in front of my face, of course.

I wasn't always so lucky.

Overall, it was a good time. Although, I'm pretty sure Hilary had a two hour nervous breakdown. But it's okay, she's in law school, not art school.

How was your weekend?
