My First YouTube Obsession

Before Daily Grace, Mamrie Hart, and The Brothers Riedell took over my life, there was John Roberts. Probably best known for Jackie and Debra, this man is a YouTube genius in my book.

Below is one of my favorite videos of his because it reminds me of every Saturday morning growing up. My mother would be on the phone - talking to one of my aunts or one of her friends - while she cleaned the house, did dishes, etc.

And I was always lurking in the background, saying stuff like, "HEY MOM! CAN I GO OVER TO MY FRIEND'S HOUSE TODAY?" or "HEY MOM! IT'S 1997 AND WE HAVE DIAL-UP...COULD YOU GET OFF THE PHONE SO I CAN GO ONLINE AND WORK ON MY HANSON WEBSITE?"

My mom's birthday was Wednesday, and I didn't say anything about it on the blog, so this one is in honor of her last year in her 50s...I mean 40s (wink wink).

Happy Friday!
