10 Things You Really Didn’t Need to Know About Me

1. I quit gymnastics after 3 years because my practices got switched to Friday nights, and that interfered with TGIF (shows like Step by Step, Family Matters, etc). I was also too tall and not nearly flexible enough, but really, I quit because I wanted to watch TV instead.

2. My left foot is slightly bigger than my right foot. Not enough to warrant buying two different sizes, but enough that my right foot is typically sliding around in all of my shoes.

3. I played the clarinet from 5th grade until I graduated from high school. But in the 10 years since, I’ve lost the ability to read music.

4. My hair is naturally curly. Like, really curly. We’re talking spirals.

5. I didn’t have an imaginary friend growing up. Or an attachment to a blanket, or a certain stuffed animal. Foreshadowing? Probably.

6. I only set my alarms for odd times. For example, it’s set for 6:51am during the work week.

7. I didn’t get my license until 2 months before my 18th birthday. I was scared to drive.

8. I can't use chopsticks to save my life.

9. I have a scar under my right eyebrow that I got when I walked into the side mirror of my mother's car when I was 3. People have asked me if I used to have an eyebrow piercing. To me, having an eyebrow piercing is more embarrassing than the real story of how I got the scar.

10. I prefer to sit in a chair, rather than on a couch.
