Alissa Lately

My own version of The Ballad of Love and Hate.

{watching} Homeland. YOU. GUYS. I know I'm late with this. People have been telling me to watch this show for years, and I finally got around to it. More or less because I called Time Warner Cable and bitched about my bill, and now I have free Showtime for a year. Which means you do, too, if you have my HBO username and password. And I'm pretty sure at least 90% of you have that information.

But I'm only halfway through season 1 of Homeland so shut your mouth if you're all caught up.

{drinking} coffee. I tried to quit sugar last week for like ~3 days and I was a monster. So now I'm back to my DD French vanilla with cream and sugar. Also, after spending a few days down South, how do you people survive without having Dunkin Donuts on every corner?

{wishing} I knew what to do with this mop of hair on my head. Should I cut a few inches off? Leave it alone? I'm asking for a friend - specifically one named Tiffany.

{listening} to "Welcome to New York" by Taylor Swift ON REPEAT. That song is always in my head for some reason, so I listen to it to make the madness stop. Spoiler alert: it doesn't.

{hoping} my co-workers don't get me sick! Although, that means I could stay home and watching Homeland, so...brb while I let them cough on me.

{reading} I just finished Lena Dunham's book - more on that in another post. I've also been reading The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. Only a few chapters in, but it's an interesting read so far.

{eating} lately I've been putting dried cranberries in my oatmeal every morning and it's the most delicious thing I can't believe I've never done before.

{feeling} cramps! bloating! mean! Cheers to being a woman.
