I'm not above a good beat.
It's why I can never hit skip on a Sia song.
And Taylor's new album is full of songs with fun, catchy beats-- and I love them all*. I do. But the only thing I love more than an upbeat dance song is a slow, gut-wrenching love song.
And that's where New Year's Day comes in.
It's the latest in what I like to call: Taylor Swift songs that fill me with emotions I didn't know I had. Other songs on that list are: Dear John, Last Kiss, Back to December, You Are In Love and OF COURSE-- All Too Well.
Maybe I'll dedicate a Spotify playlist to those songs. Maybe, if my heart could handle it.
*Okay, here are my current fan faves (which I'm sure will change every day from now until eternity): Call It What You Want, Delicate, So It Goes... AND most of all, Don't Blame Me.
