1. Gary Janetti: I was first introduced to Gary (via my television) when he appeared on the Rachel Zoe Project many moons ago. He was then dating (and is now married to) Brad Goresk-- who was Rachel’s right hand man at the time. Janetti has been a writer for Family Guy and was the Executive Producer for Will & Grace. I found him pre-Instagram days so I originally stalked him on Twitter, but within the last six months or so I discovered his stupidly funny IG account.
He mostly posts under the guise of Prince George (you know, William and Kate’s son) and more often than not is dragging the soon to be Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. I’m not invested in the royal family, but I am invested in this portrayal of the questionable gay heir to the British throne.
2. Jonny Fritz: I’ve seen this man on stage in a meat suit. No, not like Lady Gaga’s meat dress. He was wearing a white suit that was covered in photos of red meat. He’s an odd duck, is what I’m getting at, and I wouldn’t have him any other way.
He’s in a band called Traveller (their debut album is out next week) and he also does solo work (check out his album Sweet Creep on Spotify, start with “I Love Leaving”).
And while you’re listening to his music, scroll through his weird and beautiful Instagram account. His photos and captions are great, but his videos are really what landed him on this list. He does bits so well, I sometimes can’t tell if it’s a joke or not.
I should also note—this man Crowdfunded a God damn hip replacement. Bless him. He’s an angel in my book.
3. Jen Gotch: I would be remiss not to include Jen on this list. I know I’ve mentioned her here before, but she continues to be a shining light in the ever growing bullshit that is Instagram. She’s open about her battle with depression and anxiety, life after divorce and her (sometimes serious/sometimes not) search for her next boyfriend.
She's just...fun. And real. And I appreciate both.
